Welcome to Nursery
Welcome to nursery. The two main staff in nursery are Miss Catherine Pidgeon (Nursery Class Teacher) and Mrs Barbara Wadsworth (Nursery Nurse). Children can attend nursery from the term after their third birthday. All the teaching and learning in our nursery is play based within a creative, happy and nurturing environment. The children have free access to our own garden throughout the nursery sessions, all the children are involved in caring for the garden throughout the year.
The topic for this half term is “People who help us”, in the first week we look at people who help us in school and explore the school outside of nursery. Then we are going to look at what people in the wider community do, starting with the emergency services. This half term the SEAL topic is called “Getting on and Falling out”, we will be helping the children to learn about and understand friendship and the best ways of learning together. Starting on the 15th November is national anti-bullying week, we are helping the children to understand how how hurtful some words and actions can be and discussing what makes a good friend.
