Starting school - September 2024
Children born between 1st September 2019 and 31st August 2020 are eligible to begin Reception class in September 2024. Applications for a Reception place must be made between 17th November 2023 and 15th January 2024. Applications are made to Calderdale Council, not directly to school.

Starting Nursery.
Nursery aged children are welcomed into Valley Class which is our EYFS class (Nursery and Reception) three times a year (September, January and after Easter) from the term following their 3rd birthday (or later). We are flexible in the sessions we offer; your child can attend full time or part time, which is a great way to experience your first classroom.
If you want your child to start in Nursery, you apply directly to school. Please contact us to arrange a visit and pick up an application form.
All 3 and 4 year olds in England are entitled to 15 hours free childcare per week; this means 2 and a half days. Many working families are entitled to 30 hours. Extra sessions cost £14 per half day.
Starting school in another year.
Children may be able to join our school in other year groups at any time during the school year, if a place is available. Please arrange a visit to look around our school and to discuss this.
